Woven yak coat

This coat has a fitted waistline and a ballooning skirt made of a combination of warm yak-wool and silk.The two fabrics are layered in a way that when the silk parts appear on the outside , the woolen parts remain on the inside and vice versa.

Quilted coats and jackets

This coat is made from cotton and alpaca jersey quilted together. The seams are turned outward to create fringes. The buttons are sewn from layers of the same fabric.
Though very light in weight, it is very warm.

1002 Spoons

New and old, elaborately carved and simple, big and small,carved from wood, coconut, horn, shell and bamboo,made of iron, brass and gourd,hammered from silver, copper, bronze and stainless steel, salt spoons, tea spoons, ceremonial spoons, tea ceremony spoons, serving spoons, ladles, and jewelry made of spoons.
Many were designed and made especially for this show, while others were found in Vietnam, China, Japan, Indonesia, Timor, the Philippines, Korea, India, Africa and Europe.

Please come and pick your favorites during this unique exhibition.

Wild Weave Bamboo

DESIGN TIDE TOKYO is a trade show where designers from a variety of fields – interior and product design, architecture, graphic design, textiles, fashion and art – can exhibit their recent work. This Autumn Design Tide Tokyo is held from October 30th until November 3rd.
For this international design event Babaghuri is showing two new products: a wild weave bamboo and stainless steel stool and a coat stand made of stone and wood. Both will be exhibited at the Jurgen Lehl Marunouchi store and the Babaghuri store in Kiyosumi.

Babaghuri autumn knits

This year’s airy alpaca knits come in four natural dye colours:
Red ―Lacdye
Blue ―Indigo (Polygonum Tinctorium)
Purple ―Lacdye
Grey ―Charcoal
The dark brown is one of the natural colours of the alpaca hair.

Momoo Omuro Glass Exhibition

For this exhibition, Omuro has created a number of items in a variety of blues. Fine patterns ranging from light sky blue to a deep indigo blue give each work a quiet, graceful presence from which any number of landscapes can be imagined. This is the quality that Omuro aims to achieve in each of her creations. All items are made by the technique of pâte de verre.  

A wide range of items will be on display and sale, including flower pots, small dishes, sake cups and small boxes. Please come and take a look.
