We are pleased to announce our latest exhibition,
“Handiwork of India II” featuring work by Padmaja Krishnan and the Mura Collective.

Designer Padmaja Krishnan’s work is characterized by her colourful kantha stitching
and her slightly mischievous sense of humour.
Her traditional kantha uses simple stitches
that form a series of patterns through layers of cloth,
achieving a three-dimensional feeling of light and shade.

From the Mura Collective of New Delhi,
we have collected a range of stoles, hand-woven and dyed
in a variety of indigo shibori patterns by the women of the collective.

We hope you will take this opportunity to come and see these contemporary Indian designs
that combine a deep respect for tradition with individual creativity.
This exhibition will be held from the 16th to the 20th of June.
